Vera was born in Ivanovo, the textile capital of Russia.
She studied industrial design and advertisement at the
Art University of Ivanovo, then worked as a teacher in
an art college, until she moved to Bergen, Norway in 1997,
where she developed her pastel technique. She had a solo
exhibition at "Rekstensamlingene" ( A unique gallery and
cultural center of Bergen ), as well as few other local galleries.

Veras passion is in the shades and depth of color. Through
warmth and softness, we might find an escape. She repetitively
uses elements of the natural world, as her fascination lies in
the perfect shapes and colors that it creates.
"I try to paint rhythm, movement and shape, as if I was dancing
and hearing music of tones and contrasts."
No surprise that one of her references is musical.
"I am captivated by art that does not focus on themes.
For me light is the theme and the dynamics can create a
personal story for the viewer."

Vera calls for our imagination and opens a door to her world,
so we might discover a secret that is always present in her
art, as it is in her character. As we look at Veras paintings,
we can almost hear the music and see her dancing through the brush.
